​ABOUT US

     武術為中國歷史五千年傳統文化,發展至今更成為各國人士喜愛之運動,近年更被香港康樂及文化事發展局列入重點推廣的體育項目。

 

     中國武術海外訓練學院於1995成立,一直致力推廣武術,於全港各區的社區組織、機構及校內開辦武術班,參與超過五百場演出,及舉辦超過五十場武術比賽,亦致力培育武術人才,訓練出五十多位專業教練,以及多位香港武術代表隊運動員,為港增光。現今本院擁有三十多名現職專業教練,為本土機構、社區組織及學校服務,精心編制三十多個適合不同年齡層人士的武術課程,以及提供具專業認證的通級考試制度課程。


       本院在傳承武術技藝的同時,亦以身教及口述的形式傳授武德,並以現代科學化的方式教授及訓練符合現代國際武術運動賽事要求的規定及自選套路,研發出結合武術、武德以及體能(三大課程核心)於一身的精品課程。

 

       主要課程內容,包含各種武術套路,拳術(如長拳、南拳、太極拳、八極拳及翻子拳等),短器械(如刀術、劍術、太極劍及南刀等),長器械(如棍、槍及朴刀等),其他器械(如雙刀、九節鞭、雙節棍及扇等),課程多樣化,可以為各年齡層、健康需求及喜好安排切身的武術體驗及課程訓練。

 

       武德素養的提升為課程的重要潛在課程目標,「尚武崇德」,習武與習德同樣重要。本院學生有來自不同背景、種族、語言及文化,同輩間以師兄師弟相稱,鼓勵彼此間共融和諧,互相尊重及幫助,培養出兒童及青少年群體相處之道,更學習道德倫理,長幼有序,尊師重道。課堂上亦要求遵守紀律,需專注接收及執行指令,配合教練安排以進行課堂的學習計劃,培養自律精神。

 

      透過考試、比賽、演出及社區服務,增強自我認同感及面臨壓力的心理技能,建立人生路上種種挑戰自信心和進取心。

 

         中國武術海外訓練學院由兩位生於武術世家-張萬珠師父、張萬強師父創辦。二人從小已跟隨一代宗師,同時亦是二人之母親的紀昌秀師父習武。

 

        創辦人兼院長-張萬珠師父,一九八七年入選香港代表隊,連獲多屆全港武術公開賽、國際賽冠軍,在一九九零年更奪得世界武術錦標賽棍術冠軍、劍術亞軍;一九九一年榮獲國際武術聯會教練證書及裁判證書。曾多次帶領武術隊參加國際比賽獲獎無數、成績輝煌。

        創辦人-張萬強師父,除了是管理系碩士、運動系學士外,一九九九年更代表香港參加第五屆世界武術錦標賽,奪得劍術冠軍、槍術及太極拳亞軍;二零零一 年在亞美尼亞舉行的第六屆世界武術錦標賽獲得槍術冠軍、劍術亞軍;二零零一年於青島國際武術比賽獲得太極劍冠軍。

        在二零零三年由中國武術海外訓練學院舉辦的「香港國際武術節」拉開帷幕,並已承辦了十三屆。每屆亦有來自美、英、法、俄、日等二十多個國家和中國二十多省市的武術團體和精英參加,參賽隊伍更超過五百隊、運動員總人數高達三千人,進場參觀的人更數以萬計。

Chinese Wushu - China’s cultural heritage of over 5000 years - is practiced and loved by millions across the world. It is also currently promoted as a main sporting event by the Hong Kong government.

Chinese Wushu (Overseas) Training Institute was founded on the year 1995, focusing on promoting and training wushu lovers while organising different wushu competitions.

 

More than a few dozen professional wushu coaches had graduated through our institute, providing our student with systematic programs and customised learning experiences.

Our Institute provides a wide range of Chinese wushu forms, from traditional to new and customised styles, which are applicable to international wushu competitions’ requirements. Not only does our institute hosts several competitions annually, but we also encourage our students to participate and lead them to different competitions across the world. By doing so, they gain valuable experiences and improve their physical and mental well-being such as, strength, flexibility, agility, confidence, unity and respectfulness.

 

With over twenty years of experiences in organising training classes for schools and the general community, our training programs are systematic and comprehensive while our coaches are professional. We are proud to provide a wide range of styles of Chinese wushu in both traditional and new forms.

Through examinations, performing events and competitions, provided regularly by the institute, students would develop an interest and an in-depth understanding of the core values of Chinese Wushu.

Master Cheung Man Chu and Cheung Man Keung, founders of Chinese Wushu (Overseas) Training Institute LTD., are apprentices of renowned Wushu grandmaster, Kei Cheong Sau – also their mother – since childhood.

Master Cheung Man Chu – Dean of the Institute – is not only the head coach of Shatin Wushu team and the Honourable President of Hong Kong Wushu Federation, but also Duan 8 of Chinese Wushu Duanwei of The Chinese Wushu Association.

A member of the Hong Kong Wushu team since 1987, she represented Hong Kong in many open competitions and international championships, wining numerous gold medals. She is also a gold medallist of long staff of the 1990 World’s Wushu Championship, while winning silver in sword.

She is also a certified coach and judge of the International Wushu Federation since 1991 and had led many wushu teams to international competitions with great success.

 

Master Cheung Man Keung, who has a degree in Sports and Masters in Managing, is the head coach of the Institute.

In 1999, Master Cheung Man Keung represented Hong Kong in the 5th World’s Wushu Championship and was crowned Champion of Sword, two years on he was crowned Champion of taichi sword.
